I bought a house with a suite that needed upgrades to make it meet current codes so I hired Suite Builder to do them. The job was done on time and budget. The work was done beautifully. Jeff took the time to look after even the smallest of details. I really felt he went the extra mile in completing the work. He was professional, prompt, and efficient. I would recommend him for anyone looking for secondary suite in their property and I plan to use him again in future investments.

We had water entering our basement and decided on Suite Builders after visiting one of their work sites. I was impressed with the work they were doing on a house in our neighbourhood and the home owner too was very satisfied. Jeff Smith come to my house and give me an estimate to fix any imperfections in the foundation, install weeping tile and install a sump and pump. Suite Builders were at my residence as promised and began the excavation. They did all the repairs necessary and installed the sump pump and back filled the area. We were so impressed with how well the whole job went, they started when they said, they did a great job doing the repairs, the weeping tile was put in place, the job site was cleaned up very nicely and the quote was honoured even though they had too do extra work around our steps. I am a fussy home owner and I was impressed at the work they did so I would recommend them to do any work for any of my friends.

Jeff Smith from Suite Builder was one of 4 contractors I had come to look at my project. I have a 4 level split home that I wanted to put into two suites with two levels each. Being a single woman doing a large project on my own, my biggest concern was finding someone that was honest, reliable, and able to make the most of my budget. I wanted a contractor that would allow me to do some sweat equity and Jeff planned his bid around those things I was capable of doing myself to keep my costs down. Jeff was very knowledgeable about the codes and city bylaws; he handled all the permits and went to bat for me at the city regarding some variances on my property. Jeff never took any short cuts making sure the proper trades were there to do the job. All his sub-contractors were very pleasant to talk with if I had any questions. There was some construction upstairs that needed to be done for the upper suite to be completed where we were living and Jeff planned accordingly for the least amount of inconvenience to us. Jeff made sure I was involved in the decisions that needed to be made along the way. In the construction business things are very unpredictable at times and Jeff always kept his cool and was very professional at all times. Jeff was always very approachable if I had concerns or questions. I had a deadline and he worked countless hours to make that happen. It can be a very stressful time to go through a large construction project like this, I was happy to have Jeff in my corner to help with decisions and ideas. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Suite Builder again.

Quoted for a basement suite and had great ideas never offered by other contractors. Due to family circumstances the basement suite did not go ahead. However Jeff was kind enough to put in the bathroom upgrades I required. Great job by great people.

New basement development Suitebuilder worked very closely with us to make our vision a reality. Jeff was very accommodating and easy to work with. He worked hard to achieve all of our requests and changes, and had some great suggestions along the way. At times communication was slow. The drywall tradesman did not do a great job. At the end of the project we waited months to get some final details completed. Overall, happy with the end result, but felt we needed to do our own final touch ups to bring the finishing to our standard.

I highly recommend Jeff. His work is top quality and he is a real perfectionist and will make sure that things are completed to his high standards.
